  • Florence Henderson & other great looking Legendary Ladies from TV & Films were honored by the Smithsonian for being pioneer women in television, stage and films. They are the legendary ladies who have become showbiz icons-- Carol Channing, Florence Henderson, Julie Newmar, Esther Williams, Tippi Hedren, June Lockhart and Rose Marie. These seven stars were recently honored by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, which will showcase mementos from their enduring careers in permanent exhibits.

  • In honor of Sherwood's receiving a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Archive of American Television has dug out a comprehensive interview with Sherwood Schwartz. Aside from discussing the creation of his classics, Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch, Sherwood Schwartz candidly described writing for comedic legends Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Red Skelton, and working on such series as I Married Joan and It's About Time. The 6-hour interview (12 parts) was conducted by Dan Pasternack on September 17, 1997.

  • Maureen will be a keynote speaker at an event in Ohio for the 14th annual Community Recognition Dinner for the Butler County Board of MRDD, which is being held March 9th. A Reception/Dinner will begin at 4 p.m. at Receptions, 5975 Boymel Drive in Fairfield, Ohio. Maureen along with her brother, who has special needs, will be at the reception signing autographs and speaking with families. The reception/dinner costs $10/$25 and is a fundraiser for Butler County MRDD’s political action committee, Friends of Citizens with Disabilities. (Source of News)
