  • Eve Plumb’s paintings will be shown May 16 through May 31 at Pure Color Gallery. The artist reception will take place Saturday, May 17 from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm (public is welcome).   • Celebrity Circus Update: The cast, which includes Christopher Knight, will compete in fifteen Celebrity Circus challenges: walking the tight wire; juggling or twirling fire knives; a gymnastics routine with the flying cube; climbing the Spanish web; being shot 60-feet out of a human catapult; performing acrobatics on the wheel of death; the trapeze bungee act; an aerial fabric routine; performing in the German wheel; performing acrobatics on the aerial hoop; swinging from the ceiling while performing complex moves; and a hand balancing act.

    The celebrities will be aided by "top experts" in the circus world who specialize in the aforementioned acts and also trained with the participants for eight weeks leading up to the competition. In addition, the experts will also join the participants on stage during their performances to create a "rich, multidimensional act," according to NBC.

    Following each performance the celebrity participants will be judged by Celebrity Circus' yet-to-be-announced judging panel, which will consist of "experts from the circus world."

    However it will be home viewers votes cast following each episode that will determine which celebrity is sent packing each week and who ultimately wins.

  • NBC announced the stars participating in this summer's Celebrity Circus series, to be hosted by Joey Fatone: Christopher Knight , former supermodel Rachel Hunter (Dancing With the Stars), soap opera star Antonio Sabato Jr., Grammy-nominated neosoul singer Blu Cantrell, Olympic swimmer Janet Evans, and Jason ''Wee Man'' Acuna (Jackass). The show, which debuts with a 90-minute premiere on June 11 at 9:30pm. Nine episodes have been ordered and will air Wednesday nights 9pm-10pm. Featured celebrities will learn circus stunts, like the high wire, flying trapeze, and fire dancing. After training, contestants will perform and then face the verdict of judges and viewers. Celebrity Circus” will follow the entire journey from the star’s first terrifying climb up the high wire ladder to the last nerve-wracking rehearsal. Then our celebrities will put it all on the line, performing in our studio “big top” in front of a live audience. After each performance the competitors will face our judges, experts from the circus world, who will pull no punches in their assessment of the acts. But in the end, it’s up to America’s votes to determine who will be the winner of “Celebrity Circus.”

  • Florence Henderson is the new spokesperson for a campaign called 'Convert Your Mom'. The goal is to encourage boomers to help their parents, relatives and older neighbors negotiate the switch to all-digital full-power TV in February 2009. That switch will require over-the-air viewers with analog-only TV sets to either get new sets -- and perhaps new antennas -- converter boxes, or a pay TV service.

  • In honor of Sherwood's receiving a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Archive of American Television has dug out a comprehensive interview with Sherwood Schwartz. Aside from discussing the creation of his classics, Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch, Sherwood Schwartz candidly described writing for comedic legends Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Red Skelton, and working on such series as I Married Joan and It's About Time. The 6-hour interview (12 parts) was conducted by Dan Pasternack on September 17, 1997.

  • Maureen will be a keynote speaker at an event in Ohio for the 14th annual Community Recognition Dinner for the Butler County Board of MRDD, which is being held March 9th. A Reception/Dinner will begin at 4 p.m. at Receptions, 5975 Boymel Drive in Fairfield, Ohio. Maureen along with her brother, who has special needs, will be at the reception signing autographs and speaking with families. The reception/dinner costs $10/$25 and is a fundraiser for Butler County MRDD’s political action committee, Friends of Citizens with Disabilities. (Source of News)

Sherwood Schwartz, along with his children Lloyd and Hope are bringing A Very Brady Musical to Theatre West for an initial seven week engagement.   • Maureen will be one of seven celebrities with a chance at a country music career in the new CMT series, Gone Country. The celebrities will live in a Nashville mansion together and will compose songs with Nashville songwriters. In each episode, the cast will compete against each other in challenges that will test them musically and physically to adapt to a country music lifestyle, both on and off the stage. At the end of two weeks, the artist who is most prepared to impress a country audience, as determined by Rich, will record and release a song. Production is currently underway in Nashville. The six-episode series will premiere on CMT in January 2008.
